Grit and Guts Get Eagles Over the Line

In warm conditions at Brian Weightman Oval on Saturday, April 19, the Robinvale Euston Football Netball Club showed true grit to claim a hard-fought 14-point win over Mildura.

With just five points separating the two sides at three-quarter time – Robinvale slightly ahead – it was a tense final stanza where it looked like either team might yield. The game was up for grabs, and the pressure was immense.

But when the going got tough, the Eagles got going.

To their credit, Robinvale Euston steadied when it mattered most. They dug in, played tough, hard football, and refused to let the game slip. It was a strong team performance built on persistence and belief, with every player doing their bit.

It was the kind of gutsy win that builds character and confidence – a win that says a lot about the heart of this team.

The final score saw the Eagles home: Robinvale Euston 9.12 (66) defeated Mildura 7.10 (52).
